The UCCE walnut pruning systems and young tree walnut training field meetings scheduled for February 28, 2017 (with a back-up date of March 2), have been cancelled. This includes meetings scheduled at Nickels Soil Laboratory in Arbuckle, and the two meetings scheduled in Wheatland for 2 and 4 year old walnut trees. The orchards are saturated and rain is predicted this weekend. These meetings will not be rescheduled this year.
